Long hives have their origins in traditional beekeeping and are a traditional type of beehive with a horizontal layout. They're suitable for beginners and offer good overwintering conditions.
There's no need to lift heavy supers, which makes it much easier for women, children, and beekeepers with disabilities. Frames are removed from the side, not from above.
The hive is available in two variants for frames with a frame size of 39 × 24 cm or 39 × 30 cm.
